Do you know why most people fail to lose weight?

There is just one reason most people fail in the weight loss arena and you’re about to learn why. You have probably read a bunch of articles that say losing weight is not that hard, or you can achieve it with just 3 minutes a day or the newest ab-machine or whatever. But let’s be honest, it is hard – if it wasn’t then everyone you know, including you would be in the shape of their lives, right? The proof undeniable as 25% of us are overweight.
Every month there is a new diet, a new workout machine, a ‘revolutionary’ new approach or a new drug to save us. There are so many confusing options from the experts to choose from, how do you know what will really work? There are of course the usual shady practices by companies that just want to make a buck, and every now and then some doctor will tell you just to stick a few leeches on your tummy.. but the truth is, shady practices aside – many of them will work just fine.
So why do most people fail to lose weight or keep it off? Often the problem is a lack of motivation, mentoring and support. It can also be the motivation to get both the food and exercise components in the right balance. What is the point working out on the ab-machine if you aren’t eating correct? or visa-versa.
Quietly ask yourself this – have I honestly eaten the right diet and exercised well every day? If you’re feeling brave then it’s even better to ask and answer yourself aloud.
Most people don’t manage the weight loss process because they don’t effectively change the underlying behaviors and habits. They say ‘you are what you eat’, or rather, have been eating over the last few years – and whilst true, your amount and approach to exercise is equally important.
Getting both these things right is critical but changing and maintaining motivation is the hardest thing. Behavioral change experts agree successful people go through a process of ‘unfreezing’ – changing behaviors, and ‘refreezing’ the new behaviors – the refreezing process (sounds cold, doesn’t it?!) being where you need the most support and the changing part where you need the most mentoring.
