Fitness Mentor offers you an opportunity for a new and improved body! All members can enjoy our simple to follow programs without paying for expensive gym memberships, fitness magazines or gadgets.

Your programme can be exercises you can do at home or with professional equipment. We bring it all together with a unique and easy to use set of web tools for logging and sharing workouts, graphing your progress, finding events and recording your daily diary.

Fitness Mentor is a professional site without biased 3rd party advertising, and contains hundreds of pages of exercise and nutrition advice exclusively for all members.

So, you can optionally choose between inexpensive self service or personal one-on-one coaching from one of our fitness experts – a team of professionals and high performance coaches who will provide personalized training plans to suit your goals and lifestyle.

Without the typical clinic overheads, our bronze+ level members get excellent value for personal consultations online, although we do run in-person clinics too.

Fitness Mentor coaches are friendly but firm, so get ready to achieve your maximum potential.

Fitness Programs

All members get exclusive access to our Fitness Mentor personal training programmes. Whether you want to lose weight, build strength and endurance or just have a great looking body, we have a range of programs for beginners through to exercises that should only be tried by elite athletes.

All programs include warmup preparation, circuit and key exercise components and options for cardio with detailed explanations and photos that easily guide you through what to do, and when to advance to the next level!

We have programmes which you can do at home without any expensive gym memberships or equipment , as well as additional programs for those of you who may have some equipment, for example dumbells, swiss balls and dynabands.

Advanced Training Plan Generator

We have also researched and designed the most advanced training programme generator available today. It is designed to produce both walking, and running plans and most importantly it is designed to give you the best possible workout, in a flexible way.

Your advanced training plan is automatically personalized to match your goals whether you are a first-time runner, or looking for a sub 3-hour marathon. It will taper your runs, build in rest weeks or rest days, optionally include hill and speedwork (where appropriate!) and calculate your optimal training distances and speeds based on your estimated VO2 max.

You can customize the intensity and days which you want to exercise, and even mark in holiday periods and Fitness Mentor will work around them!

A very nice touch is the fact you can generate a plan to match a specific event and Fitness Mentor will work backwards from the event date to create a plan. Once a plan is generated they appear in your workout log as ‘planned’ and all you need to do is tick them off as you go!

Sharing

Arranging to meet a friend for a workout or entering an event together is a proven way of increasing motivation and commitment to your goals. Our website allows you to link up with your friends, share favorite routes and track your progress together!

Training becomes even more rewarding when you receive encouragement from your friends, so we have an incentive for you to encourage them in too… Invite your friends to join and you’ll receive a free 60-day membership extension per friend who joins.

Your personal details are always kept private, but you can choose to share and compare your workout statistics and results with friends – using both graphs and side-by-side reports – for as many friends as you like, all at once!

Our sharing features also give you access to ranked reports showing who in your group is the fastest for different routes and distances. You can even see who is doing the most training in time or distance.

Mapper

Measure, share and compare times for your favorite running, cycling or even kayaking routes with our amazing world first, Silverlight mapping tool! It uses slick Silverlight 4.0 technology to give you what is the best experience available anywhere on the web for mapping your routes.

Simple to use, our mapping tool will automatically estimate your calories or joules and measure your distances, as well as allow you to easily save your routes and workouts.

Event Finder

Search our extensive database to quickly find your ideal event by location, name, type, style or activity! Courtesy of www.onesportevent.com’s shared database of events, you can now search events within the Fitness Mentor site on our new Search Events page!


Once you’ve found an event you like, you can simply click to create a custom training plan for that event. Your training plan automatically takes into account your current fitness level, the event distance and how long you have to train. You won’t find this easy integration anywhere else!

Forums (NEW!)

Members with forum access get the exclusive ability to chat and ask questions with any of our coaches directly. So even if you have signed up to a nutrition plan you can ask our personal trainer for stretching advice or our tri coach for help.

The forums are searchable by members so you can also see other member’s questions and answers. We have also created an area for member conversations so jump in and share!

For customers with personal coaches, we also use private member conversations to record all correspondence between you and your coach so you can refer to it at any time.

Journal Entry

A short journal entry can help plan your day, or bring back to life memories of your achievements and thoughts on a given day. Better yet writing a little each day can help with motivation to keep you on track – and it is also inspiring to go back and read your entries as time passes!

Workouts

Managing your weekly schedule is as simple as dragging and dropping workouts.


Taking note of the automatic weather forecasts for your area, you can quickly add, remove or change workouts as you see fit using our unique template system.


Easy to use, Fitness Mentor even has a quick entry mode where you can view or edit workouts with a single click. It works particularly well if you have generated a training plan, as you can simply tick off each workout as you do it.

Graphs

See and manage improvements by recording and graphing daily measurements like weight, resting heart rate, blood pressure and how many hours you sleep each night.
