Introducing Brendon!
Brendon Downey
Professional Tri and Ironman CoachIf you’re looking for the best coaching look no further. Brendon is the coach that other Tri coaches turn to for advice. Contracted by ITU from 2005 to 2007, Brendon helped train up to 30 professional full time Triathlon coaches.
As a Triathlon NZ high performance coach he coached elite athletes preparing for the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games, and helped develop the level 2 and 3 (Olympic level) qualifications that other coaches aspire to achieve.
Brendon has a post-graduate background in sport science, and qualified as a Level Two Tri coach in 1996. He also received the Full Prime Ministers Coaching Scholarship in 2003.
He knows what it takes both professionally and personally – Brendon has been a New Zealand elite team member and was himself New Zealand Triathlon Champion in 1991, so don’t pass up this opportunity to be coached personally by the best.
